Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

SpokenEdit is committed to making its website and services accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

This accessibility statement applies to the website spokenedit.de and the web application offered therein.

Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website may have accessibility limitations. Below is an overview of known limitations:

  • Waveform Player: The interactive audio waveform player uses complex canvas elements that may not be fully compatible with all screen readers. We are working on improved ARIA labels and keyboard navigation.
  • Contrast: In some areas of the user interface, contrast ratios are currently being optimised to consistently meet WCAG AA minimum requirements.
  • Marker System: The time-based marker system requires precise mouse interactions in some cases, which may pose a challenge for users with motor impairments.
  • Drag & Drop: Chapter sorting via drag and drop is not yet fully operable via keyboard.

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our platform and to resolve the limitations described above.
